Affirmation cards are a kind way of reminding you of positive words, thoughts, and feelings in the form of wallet-sized cards that you can keep on your nightstand or in your wallet. These easy to grab cards are used to help keep what we already know about ourselves in the forefront of your mind. No way will cards change a person’s mindset overnight however, when you receive these cards and go through them, you’ll read, understand the words and hopefully within time, you will start to believe the positive words – the purpose of the affirmation.
Different Types of Affirmations
- “I am born to do great things.”
Recognizing your best qualities about yourself. Be proud of yourself and who you have come to be. We are not perfect humans and this does not negate the great things that you were born to do in this lifetime.
- “I love all people and all things, and I love every day of my life.”
Affirmations of love and the appreciation of having and expressing love in your and someone else’s life. Most people love things and people, others love money, then there are those who love any and everything of every day.
- “I am always blessed with abundant opportunities more than I need.”
Beliefs and claims are affirmations that may stem from a religious or spiritual belief.
- “I select to embrace every challenge on my way to grow into who I am meant to be.”
Your decision to make a choice is a powerful use of affirmations. You are putting the choice in your own hand about what you will and will not do in your life.
Women Who Have Affirmation Card Decks
I was fortunate to meet mom and entrepreneur Graeme at the Here We Grow Retreat. It was at the retreat, that I discovered her business. If you’re familiar with the term product junkie, then you know that I visited the site, saw a shop, and purchased something I could use in my own life – momfirmation cards.
Another great sister who I had the pleasure to meet, Yetti of YettiSays.com. I don’t recall how I came across her event flyer for brunch in Harlem, however, I got it and I went. I was nervous to be among a group of beautiful black young ladies with their own aspirations but I recall having a great time. Since then, Yetti has created a self-care brand for uplifting women with wellness guides and affirmation deck of cards.
I enjoy waking up and picking one card out of the deck and reading it aloud. Most days, the affirmation relates to a situation that occurred or is needed in my life. In the thought of creating vision boards, I’m going to take my favorite cards from different decks and display them in a pattern of some sort. You can also create your own vision board of mantras and affirmation sayings that speak to you and to what you want to manifest in your life.
Can’t wait to come back and display my work of art based on these women entrepreneurs with self-love and self-care in mind.
Do you own affirmation cards? How do you use them?
