Thank you to Emma for tagging me in your Autumn tag post. Tag or questionnaire posts are one of my favorites to create and just schedule it out. Depending on the questions, the post allows you to be as transparent as you want because you have questions to guide you on the content flow. Looking forward to being tagged in a few more seasonal posts, or maybe I’ll just do a questionnaire myself.
Autumn, is a semi loved season for me. The air changes from warm to chilly, in NYC that could mean Tuesday it’s 75 degrees and Friday 43 degrees. Autumn is a very interesting season similar to Spring. Besides the up and down weather temperatures, there are some other parts of Autumn that I enjoy.
What signifies the start of Autumn for you?
The start of Autumn for most, is the start of the school year. In New York, school starts the day or two after Labor Day. Although the season is officially still summer, the children are back in school and most employees are back from their tropical vacations. It signifies the end of the fun and now it’s time for work time of the year.
It signifies the time of the year for us to pack away summer clothes and see what doesn’t fit anymore since we had a great summer of eating, drinking, and no type of exercise. lol
What is your favorite Autumn scent?
Vanilla, Lemon, and Peppermint are my favorite scents. When it’s this time of the year, the smells of various baking goods are scents I can never get enough of. The aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, apple, sweet potatoes, and simmering apple cider is runner up to favorites.
What is your favorite Autumn color?
Maroon is a favorite Autumn color. Maroon is a rich blend of browns and reds and I think that it’s a nice color for other times of the year as well. Especially as a lipstick.
Are you a fan of a Pumpkin Spice Latte?
I used to love this time of the year, just to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte, PSL for those familiar with the Starbucks language. Every other morning, I’d order a pumpkin cream cheese muffin and a Grande soy PSL, hot. They knew my face, some memorized my name and actually spelled it correctly.
After a week of on and off again headaches, I came to the conclusion that I may have a caffeine addiction. I slowly weaned myself off of the narcotic. For almost two months, I have not had any Autumn themed coffee beverages. I do miss a piping hot PSL in a Grande cup, oh with no foam – fill my cup up without the extra.
What is your favorite Autumn drink?
This is a tricky question, wouldn’t cha think? Non-alcoholic? That would have to be apple cider. Warm or cold, apple cider with a cinnamon stick is good eats. Alcoholic? Apple Cider again, with an added spritz of dark rum and/or a hot toddy for those cold nights.
What is your all-time favorite fall/Halloween movie?
Although we sit and watch a few classic favorites, I can’t say that I have a favorite movie that I must watch every year. I do enjoy watching Charlie Brown.
What’s your favorite Autumn trend?
I think my biggest autumn trend is celebrating the life of my little Autumn. Born two days before Halloween, celebrating her every year would be the best trend ever.
What was your favorite part about Halloween as a child?
From what I can recall, dressing up in our costumes (including the plastic masks), and walking around the neighborhood trick or treating, putting smiles on the senior citizens in the neighborhood faces was a favorite part.
What is one candle you MUST light every Autumn?
I do not have a single candle that I MUST light every Autumn. I enjoy smelling certain scents, but a specific candle has not been found yet. Do you have one that you would recommend?
Where is your dream destination to visit in the Autumn?
In the past month, I’ve interacted with many interesting personalities on Twitter. Most of them are from the United Kingdom, UK. I have enjoyed many of their writings on their personal blogs and their posts on Twitter. With that being said, I’d enjoy to visit an area of the UK or another part of Europe during the Autumn season. Getting used to the time difference may be a struggle, but we may get over that while enjoying the Autumn scenery.
So there it is, the end of this Autumn tag. Now the hard part – who to tag. Here are a few bloggers from different genres that I’d like to tag:
-
Ann-Marie of Bossips Online
-
Niamh R of Niamh R Blogs
-
Karen of Thriving Avenue
-
Sanaa of A Mom That Sleeps
Hope you enjoyed this Autumn Tag! If you have a Fall or Autumn Tag, let me know in the comments.
