Here are a Few TV Shows to Binge-Watch

I've been enjoying a few shows this past year and can't wait for them to return from their break so that I can watch weekly.  However, sometimes it's so good that I don't want to wait a whole seven days to see the next episode and I'll go on demand and watch the entire TV show within a day or two.

Who doesn’t enjoy a good TV show to binge-watch?  I’ve been enjoying a few shows this past year and can’t wait for them to return from their break so that I can watch weekly.  However, sometimes it’s so good that I don’t want to wait a whole seven days to see the next episode and I’ll go on demand and watch the entire TV show within a day or two.  The only downside to binge-watching TV shows on my own time is not being able to have conversations online – an event where groups of people that are also watching at the same time, have commentary to every single scene that is shocking, funny or just unbelievable.  Add the TV show’s hashtag and you could create a post that can go viral.  This hasn’t happened to me yet, so let’s carry on. Here are a few shows that I’ve added to my playlist to binge-watch.

Binge-Watch on Hulu

The U.S. subscription video-on-demand service. There is a live tv show no-ads option but that’s extra money. I opted for the version of Hulu with ads and I’m alright with the time out between scenes. Here are the shows in My Stuff list.
  • The Handmaid’s Tale
  • The Act
  • Queen Sugar
  • Saints + Sinners
  • Marvel Runaways
  • Atlanta
  • American Horror Story
  • Grown-ish

Netflix

Why have Netflix when you have Hulu? I do because even though there are shows that do overlap, there are those few series only available on Netflix and vice versa. But basically the same thing, a streaming service for you to watch preferenced tv shows.
  • Orange Is the New Black
  • Dear White People
  • My Next Guest with David Letterman
  • Dead to Me
  • Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee
  • 13 Reasons Why
  • Family Reunion
  • Girls Incarcerated

Add-on Channels

The best thing about living this streaming lifestyle for watching tv shows is adding a channel one month and changing it to another channel depending on the show that is premiering. I used to do this when I had a cable box and all that wiring. Now, I just go to my settings in my app and add HBO to watch Issa Rae and her shows, remove and add Showtime to catch up with The Chi and of course now I’m on Starz to see who wins the battle – Tommy or Ghost or Jamie St. Patrick?
  • Power
  • Ray Donovan
  • Shameless
  • The Chi
