Listening to podcasts is the new thing to my self-care routine. It helps that today’s music is garbage and the radio plays the same garbage over and over again, so why not listen to people talk about topics that I have an interest in? While commuting to and from work, listening to music or podcasts is a great listening distraction to the sounds amongst New York City. There are so many different types of podcasts like there are various genres of music. Although a few podcasts are interesting to listen to, if their voice makes me sleepy or is too annoying to listen to, then I don’t subscribe to that type of energy in my head. lol
